I have eaten here twice within the past four months and I love the street tacos. They are made exactly how I like them, double layered, fresh onions, cilantro and salsa over whatever meat I am feeling that day.
The only issue I have but can easily get past it because the food is so good stems from their hours of operation. They do not open until later in the day and both times I had to wait a few hours until I could swing by to grab something to eat. -

Ate here twice first time I couldn't decipher what to order so I let the girl at the register tell me what's popular and I went off what she said and I ordered that. I had the Asada taco
(my apologies if I got that incorrect ) they were a little on the greasy side, but I like to give places a few try's the service was nice and friendly, the Restaurant was clean. The second time I went I ordered the same thing and it was ok i asked about a to go menu and a owner which was a lady actually came out and talked to me she was friendly and nice ,I'll come back and do business again and see how the third time around is ! -

Dear Pepe,
I am so happy you exist.
We just moved to the area from LA. We have been craving some good Mexican food and Tacos Pepe was the happy hug for our bellies we we're seeking. Every bite was a nostalgic and deliciousness wave of good flavor! The rice ( a base element of any taco/Mexican restaurant) is well done (there is a secret to it). That was the first clue I was in the right place. The salsa Verde is the perfect blend of spice and savory elements. I had the trio (awesome that it comes with a free drink) of asada/steak, chorizo, and Al pastor. Hapoy tears. The horchata could use a little more cinnamon but that is a minor element of our whole experience. We will be back for more. -Gracias! -

We've given this place a few tries & won't go back. It was 5:15 on a Friday evening & we walked into an empty restaurant, but the service was still slow & the food came out lukewarm at best. Salsa bland, chips tasted stale, soft corn tortillas were like leather. My pastor & fish tacos were flavorless other than a really unpleasantly spicy red sauce. My husband's combo was flavorless & the sides of cheese & guac were tiny. I'm not sure what is authentic about this food like other reviews have said...???

I was really hoping that I would like Tacos Pepe more than I did. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't necessarily good enough that I would come again.
I ordered the Chicken little burrito, which was ok. It was certainly a generous portion. It lacked a wow factor, and tasted like something I could have made at home.
My husband got the Steak torta. It was lacking on several factors. The bread was a major miss. It was hard, not the soft torta bread that I had expected. The steak meat was hard to find in the sandwich and what was there was tough. I believe it was billed as having avocado, which torta typically have smeared on the bread. I didn't see the avocado. It was essentially just lettuce inside the sandwich. It was so disappointing.
The Chips and salsa, another miss for me. The salsa was watered down tomato juice. Lacked any flavor or spice. All in all they've got a lot of kinks to work out.
